Bijli Mahadev 2750m nestled in Kullu Valley in North West Himalaya. It’s a perfect place to get a taste of Himalayan Outdoors in the abode of Lord Shiva. We have our fixed camps here thorough out summer. It is a hilltop destination at an altitude of 2750m. It gives clear view of whole Kullu Valley from the top. Famous Bijli Mahadev temple is situated on the top of the cliff which has an age old folklore attached to it.


Since time unknown known as “Kulant Peetha”(end of habitable world), Devbhumi (Valley of Gods), the religion of the country is still in its primitive/antique form. Where the village deity is still believed to be the supreme in all walks. Almost every village in the vicinity of Kullu Valley  subordinates to a Village Supreme God and it has been found mostly that these Village deities often coincides with the Charcter in Age Old Hindu Mythological texts e.g. Ramayana, Mahabharata, Shiv Puran etc. (suggested read if interested:www.tharahkardu)


And Bijli Mahadev is such a must visit Location on a Hill top(2750m) near the confluence of River Vyas and Parvati. Here the Patron deity is Lord Shiva, the adiyogi. Which makes this place much more suitable for our Yogic Self. Just reaching here fills you with inner peace and tranquility that body, mind and soul starts to align effortlessly. It is an excellent place to practice Yoga, in silent natural surroundings here one can still look out the aura of ancient mystic Who is still believed to exist here………….

Day 1: Report at Bhunter or Manali in Morning around 9am.Arrival at Bhunter and drive to trek start point village Chansari. 3km trek to Bijli Mahadev camp site Lunch and Tent allotment campfire in night.

Stay in tents twin sharing basis. Campfire in the evening.

Day2: Trek to the nearby hill top after Breakfast and Packed lunch. Explore the surrounding Deodar forest throughout the day and reach back to the campsite in the evening.

Day3: Downhill trek 3km to reach road head and drive to Kullu. Visit to Naggar Castle on the way.
